Joey and JR got to ride horses yesterday and a friends birthday party. Joey hesitated but since all the other kids had done it and his brother was about to do it, he decided it was okay. When he got done he said in a quiet voice, "that was fun. Yippee!"

Murano and Burano

We visited two islands near Venice last week.. It was a beautiful sunny fall day and the islands (Murano and Burano) were not as crowded as Venice usually is. The clock towers looked especially nice against the bright blue sky.

Cochem am Mosel

Tom had to go on a rough TDY to Germany recently. Had to be an "observer" for an exercise and we stayed in this town on the Mosel river and sampled many fine Reislings and schnitzel. My kind of TDY :)
