We took a weekend trip to Edinburgh this weekend. The excuse was that our residence cards were expiring so we had to leave the Schengen area and re-enter. The flight to Edinburgh was quicker than the drive to Ukraine, so there you go...
It was a nice break to travel to Scotland. I could understand everything I read for a change! (And about 50% of what I heard!)
The people we met were very friendly. We saw the castle, bought a couple wool scarves in the Graham clan plaid, ate haggis (and tatties and neeps), and enjoyed a spot of tea. Oh, and tasted a little cask-strength single malt whisky. :)
It was a great weekend. More pictures below.

Juwenalia 2013
JR joined me for the Juwenalia parade today, where students from all the universities in Krakow march en masse to the center of the city to "takeover" for a day. We dressed in our flights suits. It was a big hit. The other pic is the two of us with some of my classmates.

Springtime (at last!)
We spent yesterday afternoon out as a foursome just enjoying "our" city. The wonderful weather and our dwindling time left to enjoy Krakow conspired to make me abandon my thesis-writing for the day. We pushed Joey in the stroller and JR rode on the wheel board attachment.
This picture is from the grounds of Wawel Castle, where we went on a whim during our after-dinner stroll down the Planty. We were the last ones there before they closed the grounds. The guards kicked us out and locked the gate behind us. Then we went and got cupcakes before making our way back home. Standard. :)
