We spent yesterday afternoon out as a foursome just enjoying "our" city. The wonderful weather and our dwindling time left to enjoy Krakow conspired to make me abandon my thesis-writing for the day. We pushed Joey in the stroller and JR rode on the wheel board attachment.
This picture is from the grounds of Wawel Castle, where we went on a whim during our after-dinner stroll down the Planty. We were the last ones there before they closed the grounds. The guards kicked us out and locked the gate behind us. Then we went and got cupcakes before making our way back home. Standard. :)

JR's third birthday
JR had a good birthday today -- a birthday party at a local play place with friends from his play group, a cake* shaped like Thomas the tank engine, and lots of presents. And mom and dad decided that having the birthday party at somewhere other than their home is the way to go!
* it was a torte really, as I learned. And I'm now convinced tortes are about ten times better than cakes. Oh, the filling...

Out for a walk today
| JR in full pilot regalia |
Just a picture from our little stroll today. We have Jill's mom visiting, so we've been able to take JR out and spend some time with just him, which is good for him. The weather finally warmed up this week so we've been able to spend a little more time outside. Pretty soon it'll be time to hit the playground again.
Oh, and I used instagram on this picture. I'm such a hipster.

Dad and the boys
Here are some pictures from yesterday of me and JR and Joey. (I think Jill may have schemed to put Joey in that outfit to match me..)
Snowy Krakow
We woke up to a pretty good snow fall this morning. This is what the Rynek looked like around 11am. Is it Easter or Christmas?

Welcome home Joey
Joseph is at home now in Krakow. He had his last check-up on Friday of last week and then we drove back from Landstuhl in two days, arriving home on Sunday. He was 2.3 kg (5lbs 1oz) at his check-up and has continued to feed well. You can start to see him filling out a bit already.
Friends have been helping by bringing by meals this week. His Grandma Parker will be here next week. This little boy's going to be getting a lot of love. We're doing well and we're very thankful to everyone for the many forms of support.
